CVUSD
is located in eastern Riverside County, California with an elementary and high
school actually situated in neighboring Imperial County. Thirty-five
miles southeast of Palm Springs, it encompasses 1220 square miles or rural
farmland and desert. Included within the boundaries is the City of
Coachella, one of the fastest growing cities in Southern California. This
family oriented community with a rich cultural heritage seeks a Superintendent
to lead 18,000 students at 21 school sites serving the communities of
Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis and Salton City.

The Coachella Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees would like to share with you the findings of the recent Leadership Profile Assessment conducted by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, Ltd.
The questionaire, interviews, forums and focus groups were structured by the Board of Trustees and the consultant to gather data to assist in determining the primary characteristics it is seeking in its next Superintendent.
